I can imagine what one would find on those headstones. A very thoughtful photo.

Many thanks, this is a Confederate Cemetery in a part of the state where the battles to take Vicksburg occurred. Thanks for the visit!!

I was going to suggest this must be a military cemetery of some form, you just don't this level of precision in other kirkyards.

A very good photo of the final resting place for these soldiers. I read a lot about the civil war, and seeing a photo like this is a reminder of the price paid by so many back then.
