Looking out, over the Forests Of Lilliput
Lens: DA 20-40 f/2.8-4.0 Limited Camera: KP Photo Location: Orono, Maine ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F6.3

My wife looking out over 50 to 100 year old trees in the University of Maine's Bog walk. Fun to feel as though you are turning into a giant as you leave the regular forest and stride through the tiny trees and carnivorous plants in the bog.

There are sharp shinned hawks that nest around the boggy area but I never have had any luck seeing them. I have better luck with the Ospreys near some neighboring wildlife refuges. (And power poles, where workers are not allowed to disturb the nests.) I have heard that an Osprey raised in a nest on a power pole will also look for a power pole when they are old enough to breed.
