A very pretty little bird. Nice shot, good framing. Central America certainly has some interesting birds.

Excellent shot! I love that the iris colour matches the "pantaloons".

Very nice shot. For colorful birds in the Netherlands, you need to go to a zoo. You could hunt down a kingfisher, but that is about it over here.

This is a very beautiful catch! And well timed, caught with a berry in its mouth. Caught in difficult conditions lighting wise, too, I would say.

Was this a hand-held shot - tripod, monopod, maybe the gear resting on a branch, or fence-top?? For a shot with a 450mm focal length at 1/350s, excellent focus and sharpness.

Somebody should tell that little bird his beautiful (aquamarine? turquoise?) blue clashes with the particular shade of green of that bush. It certainly makes him "pop" out of the photograph, though, as swip said in a post above.

Wow, very pretty bird. I see why it's named "scarlet-thighed" but kind of surprised the name doesn't say anything about the striking blue.
