But I would imagine worth every penny/cent... lets be honest it's not every day, you visit somewhere as photogenic as this.
I completely agree. It's worth every penny to take the photography tour. The group size is small and they allow you to carry a tripod. These photos wouldn't be possible of not for the photography tour.

Great photos. I like these canyon shots. Just one problem, they are located in the wrong country.
Wrong country?

I think... as in "not" their country.

Lovely - love the light beams! Did you kick up some dust?
No I did not. But the tour operators throw the sand into the air so the sun beams become more prominent. Even without that there is quite a bit of dust flying around due to the sheer number of people walking around.

I cannot see other photos than the two first. I am impressed. It almost looks like those are images created from scratch by a computer. Nice shots!

I am not sure what happened with other images. I tried to post 5 images but it is displaying only the first two.

Very nice! Love the colors.

I need to back here. Probably when I get the K-2020 or whatever it's called. The last time I was here I had a 10MP Sony A200 DSLR. Got some nice shots, but lots of people there.

Lots of people and lots of photographers. Considering that the sunbeams are visible only during certain hours of the day, it gets even busier during those times.

The glow of the rocks, quite apart from the sunbeams, is mystical. They almost seem to be on fire. Truly excellent capture - the best I've seen of Antelope Canyon. I hope you've transferred image #2 to an entire wall in your house! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Ted. Thanks for the idea about prints. I think they will be a good addition to my living room.

Unfortunately, officials have decided to shut down the photography tours: Antelope Canyon is Shutting Down Its Photo Tours Due to Overcrowding and Negative Reviews

Not sure if this thread is the right place but it's related.
