The plumage of the Satin Flycatcher is exquisite in the sun.

Excellent capture with good detail! The iridescence in the feathers of many birds, when the light comes from the right angle, is so special. Thanks for sharing.
Best.

Thanks! There's a number of Australian birds which have rainbows in their feathers in the sun. A couple of large ones are the Straw-necked Ibis and Glossy Ibis. The metallic sheen of the Satin Flycatcher as if flew was jaw-dropping to see. North American Hummingbirds also have iridescence I think.

They do as do the Mourning Dove, the Crows, and the Grackles. I'm sure there are others but that's the ones I've seen here and photographed.

Nice capture, Rob. TFS

Thanks! I should have remembered Grackles. I've seen them in the south-eastern USA.

It's! Bear in mind that with the APS-C camera, the image is captured from the best part of the field of view. I imagine that the lens could be a little softer at the edges on a K1.
