Nice photo. That's an interesting design for a lamp.

There is much irony here; for all of the repairs attempted, it is still a dead light and when someone went to the top of the lightpost to disconnect the electricity, why didn't they take it down and give it a proper burial?

A great photo that shows lots of details including the craftsmanship of the lamp itself and rats nest of wires . That Jupiter lens can deliver some results .

!exactly that's what i mean by postsoviet nihilism. drunken or hangoverish workers getting paid lowest possible wages for hours, not for what's done. but also this place is far from the popular/representative places, no tourists - no need to care. on the other hand - as we say here - every cloud has it's golden edge - thanks to all mentioned above i have lots of nice decay to frame

!thanks a lot. indeed jupiter-21m does excellent job. it is grat for such close shots and medium far, but at long distances it has some detail distortion, like some zooms do, but only if to see photo at 100%.

Interesting shot, I have never seen something like that before.

I also like the added touch of shooting a soviet lamp with a soviet lens.

!thanks again, Bertrand3000. didn't think about it like that, but if you say so, this could be defined as a conceptual shot

it could be late 50s/early 60s. perhaps the pole and metalwork is older and lamp itself younger from maybe 70s. no solid ground for what i said, but it certainly looks like mentioned period style.
