Backlit Leaf
Lens: FA 50mm macro Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Granite Bay, CA ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/160s Aperture: F4

I can't help but take photos of these beautiful leaves. The backlighting enhances their colors and textures.

The texture and depth are hypnotic. I was staring at it for a few minutes trying to put thoughts into words, and still can't do it justice.

Off to stare at it some more...

Great photo. The colors are truly enhanced by that backlighting. The textures are also great.

It was from the late afternoon sun. With the sun lower in the sky, it hits the leaves on much better angle than in the summer. The hard part is finding leaves that aren't covered in shadows from other leaves.

Ah I was going to say "that looks like natural light". That's pretty much the only type I've experimented with (similar subject). Thanks for sharing.
