Photographers Dream
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 11-27-2019, 02:45 AM

Street entertainers are just made for photographers... like they were put there especially just for me.

Captured wide open with my “Sweetheart” Pentax-A*85mm F1.4... with a bit of bokeh, backlight and a wee audience were just an added bonus.

Shows what a difference a crop makes, I liked the first, the second is much better

Not that you need yet another crop request, but this would be a great image for the CD sleeve as a 16:8 (2:1). Show Mr. Lennox this post and tell him I said so!

Good shot(s)!

I also tend to crop most of my pictures to 16:9 these days. Unfortunately, old habits die hard. A long time of tight cropping is hard to unlearn. This means that sometimes in the heat of the moment, I fill up the 3:2 viewfinder a bit too too well.

Also, Instagram doesn't really want me to do 16:9. It always seems to force me to leave off a bit on the sides in landscape.

That Taylor guitar is a dream for a guitar player like me. It is a higher-end model than the one I have. They sound absolutely wonderful.

[edit] I checked him out on YouTube; his playing is amazing! Highly recommended if you like acoustic guitar music.

Yes I understand that they are quite some instrument... not a Martin though.

You're right, Taylors sound better IMHO, with a more focused and resonant sound in the high-end models. I've played several models from both brands (and others) over the decades, and while the Martins are great guitars, they just don't quite measure up to the Taylors to my ear. I happen to be a loyal Pentax/Taylor guy. Others are Canikon/Martin, Gibson, etc. people. All our opinions are valid (at least to us). Any guitar costing $1500-$7500 USD is bound to sound good.

OK, way off topic for a photography forum. I'll take Paul Harvey's advice and shut up now.

Nae problem I’m the original OP, I think this is what gives this forum a wee bit of extra depth.

The theme of the color blue really helps this image.
