I like the fact itís got it written on it... just case you wanted to make jam or marmalade.

I must add that the washing soda/powder residue from the day before, would certainly give you clean preserves.

"Old Boiler" is a reference to the way to cook a tough old chicken, also an unkind appraisal of a tough matronly female.
