Black capped chickadee at Reifel Bird Sanctuary in BC, Canada. It was my first outing with my then-new Rokinon 16mm which I had purchased for astrophotography... which I have not yet attempted with it yet!

Impressive shot, especially considering the use of a manual lens on a jumpy subject!

Is that a one handed shot without a tripod? Very impressive.

Thank you! I must admit, the lens is super heavy so I did rest it on my left arm.

Thank you I'm in the Fraser Valley! Kamloops is a gorgeous area, I'm quite jealous of your thunderstorms.

Thank you!
We haven't had many thunderstorms the last couple years. They keep calling for them but it'll be a bolt or two and then nothing. Of course, I live a little ways out from Kamloops itself. The city certainly had 1 or 2 good storms this year.

I'm a fan of the dark skies at night

Impressive shot. Using a wide angle lens for that is peculiar (and skillful since it's a manual one and you cared about depth of field). Thanks for sharing.
