I'll be back home in a few days.......
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 10-20-2008, 07:11 PM

...... but tonight I am in Dryden, Ontario and have a reasonable internet connection so here is a sampling from the last few days.

A portrait of an unidentified little bird, K10D and DFA 2.8 100 macro

A seagull with K10D and DA 50-200

All the rest is from this morning with K10D and 16-45

I posted a picture of this waterfall in August, stopped there again this morning and it looked different, dark and raining and cold (2° C) The camera is fine in the rain but the 16-45 took a beating this trip.

Comments are always welcome and appreciated.

That first shot of the little bird is excellent. The detail is fantastic and the background is pleasantly supportive and not distracting. You are really pulling in the images with that Pentax 100 macro. Very nice work.

Wow, I really like the last two with the autumn colours! And the first one - you must have been pretty close to that bird with just a 100mm?

Nice work Heinrich. But once again, admit it, those birds posed for you especially that gull! :-)

That's a pretty nice sampler! All great shots - especially liked the birds and the waterfall.

Thank you one and all for looking and commenting, it is appreciated.

I am in Brandon, Manitoba tonight and this connection is slow. If it improves later on I'll post a few from this morning.

Take care,

It’s On the Road with Heinrich. I feel like I’ve been on vacation! Keep them coming Heinrich we all like living vicariously. I've been to many of these sites you are photographing and the memories are good ones. Bye-the-way nice shots.
