"Velcro" is 16-1/2 by the way.

added: Our older daughter got the blanket at the Equator in Ecuador.
It is made of wool.
Velcro will use it all day, and only grudgingly let my wife use it at night.

My wife got out this wool blanket because she was cold last night {we allow the temperature to fall to 62F at night because we both sleep better then} - but that was because Velcro was sleeping on the small quilt that she {my wife} uses when she is a little chilly. We'll see if her coldness causes her to have more 'spine' with regard to this covering.

Of course Velcro would go for a nice high quality wool blanket. The cat owns everything in the house, you are just allowed to use it on occasion

It doesn't feel "fair" somehow. She has hair that is almost like wool to start with, but no one has ever claimed that life is fair.
