I think this might qualify as noctoluminescent clouds.

Nice colours. I think noctoluminiscent clouds are usually silvery but I guess they have to transition to that.

I suppose I could look up the rules on them as these are clearly still seeing long wavelength sun over the hill, and I've no idea what i'm talking about here. :P

Thank you! I sometimes ride my bike up the hill at dusk like that. It's a mile all up but it seldom fails to present something to shoot at. The building is part of the Lazy -H- stables, where I get most of my horse pics. Being typical neighbors we haven't had much to say in years but they're used to me squatting in the easement or standing in the middle of the road to get a shot.

I'm not caring what they're called... that's one great sky, well captured.

Thanks! Someone suggested I might share more Landscapes from my neighborhood so I've been going through archives and resizing a few. More to come!

That is a beautiful sky. I need to have my camera ready more often as we seem to often have some very pretty skies, but I almost never get shots of them.

It happens very fast sometimes and I've scrambled and still missed the best of it more than a few times despite this view being less than a mile away. Of course I've also planned it so I could ride my bike and was greeted with drab or plain. How it goes I guess. I do try to have something on hand all the time. I'll resort to the phone if all else fails.

I was leaving work the other day and there was a gorgeous sky, with a huge sun sitting on the horizon, but most of my drive home is very heavily wooded and there wasn't anywhere all that good that I could think of to get the picture. I tried going to the hill the school in my hometown is on, but by the time I got there, the sun had already sank and the colors were gone and I was kicking myself for leaving work late. I've been trying to catch another one, but it's been pretty much solid clouds every day since then. Today was finally clear with some clouds, but it didn't have the over-sized looking sun nor the colors.
