TV On The Blink

Even thumping the side doesn't fix it...

Looks pretty normal compared to what we had when I was a kid. But another nice "concept" shot. I guess you never get bored.

Must be a problem with the "picture tube" (the conclusion anyone in my neighbourhood came to when their TV went on the fritz in the 70s - 80s...)

I've seen many upside-down reflection images before, but this is a particularly good one Nice job...

Think it was more valve issues in those days... remember them? big glowing glass tubes.

Aye, I do... and after turning the telly on, having to wait several minutes for the valves to warm up before a picture would magically appear... halcyon days, eh?

It seems that some of the high end HiFi systems, are now going back to valves as the produce a "richer" sound... apparently.

Excellent photo. In my college days, this could very well have been a perfect picture on the TV and it would have still looked like this to me
