Missed The Focus Train On This One. :(
Lens: Canon EF-S 55~250mm,IS, STM Lens Camera: Canon EOS 80 D Photo Location: Sherwood, Oregon ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/50s Aperture: F5.6

An attractive flower. Seems to be in focus just below those stamens. Maybe if the aperture was closed down a bit to increase the depth of field? But I share your frustration. When there is a shot I particularly want I can usually manage to get it not quite right.

Some you win, some you lose. You could say you are using a soft focus technique Nice color just the same.

In focus or not, that is one nice looking flower. The colors are stunning.

Hey Tony - regardless of focus point, it's a striking photo of a beautiful flower; terrific color and texture.
