Shooting into the sun
Lens: Samyang 24mm Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Vlieland ISO: 100 Aperture: F9

It is hard to overcome the huge dynamic range you need to balance out the exposure shooting right into the sun; even if the sun is somewhat obscured by clouds like here. So I made five different exposures and blended them using a HDR-program. Not something I do very often and this is the result. I took some color out of vegetation to avoid the type of HDR-look I definitely don't like.

Cheers,

Remco

Well compiled, and very nicely toned down. Bad HDR can be like a 60s acid trip!

!very enjoyable result. looks different than typical hdr, which is good, because in general they all look the same, sometimes too much like computer graphics. thing is i have nothing against hdr and they look very well for urbex shots, but tend to become boring after a while. however your photo has the painting like quality without screaming hdr

The process worked, it's a very pleasing shot without invoking HDR fatigue.
