Invasive Iguana's in South Florida
Lens: Phoenix 100-400 f 4.5-6.7 Camera: Pentax K1 II Photo Location: DelRay, FL

Invasive iguana's are all over South Florida. I took this shot with a K1 II and Phoenix 100-400mm lens, thought some might appreciate it.
(totally new to this camera and lens- lots to learn!)

Beautiful shot of a beautiful Reptile. Unfortunate they are a problem in Fl now along with other herps released illegally. I had a Green Iguana for 14 years here in CT. They grow bigger than most pet owners think, and unfortunately they loose interest and release them. They are not for everyone. TFS!

Nice shot, I was surprised how large they get in the wild. Actually I was surprised to see one in the wild when we went to Florida in 2017. He was just walking down the side of the road, not a care in the world.

Good close up. The Phoenix lens does the job well. I think it is a rebadged Cosina. But we certainly know how to mess with the environment. It is not the iguana's fault that they are a feral pest.

Thank you guys- very kind comments.

We also have Cuban Knight Anoles which I'll post in another thread (they're prettier and have a temper!)

nice shot! Bonus points for taking it on new to you gear! I like the detail captured, and that green just glows.
