I thought I took it with my dad's tri-pod, which was his dad's tri-pod. I do not recall, as it was taken a year ago … these are mom's decorations. The point of it was "Charley Brown's Christmas Tree." His tree was minimalist, off center, and I thought it was perfectly Charley. Then my octogenarian mom said, "The tree was much less full a few years ago, and more of a Charley Brown Tree." So she thought it was getting a bit outside of the Charley Brown Christmas Tree, and apparently you think it is not, but she was still planting the Charley Brown flag. I don't know … I am 1,500 miles away from mom and dad.

Ya gotta love mom. I do. Not sure how widespread is Peanuts and American culture. But if it is not widespread now you can relate:

Peanuts is as well known here as it is in the US. As for American culture, I spent a year doing postgrad at U of A (84-85') and my daughters went to Whitmore Elementary. Loved the place!

Wow! We don't know here what parts of our culture drip elsewhere. So cool! Oops, so warm.

My folks went to Arizona in retirement. I went for law school to Tallahassee, Florida in the 1980s. I think they would have retired to Florida if I stayed there, but I returned to my ancestral home, Iowa, where they decided to leave. And two of my siblings left for Arizona. I am the only one of my nuclear family remaining in our ancestral home state.
