Armored Palms
Lens: 16-50 Camera: k-5 Photo Location: Fullerton CA. ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F7.1

Location was Cal State Fullerton Arboretum. it's close by for me, a good place to try new techniques.

The background is the sky with clouds. I converted the image to b&w, split toned it,& so on, so on & so on.

Terrific image!

Not to rain on the parade, but those aren't palm leaves at all. Some banana-relative, like bird of paradise, heliconia or the like. They are very interesting subjects to photograph!
