The hanging of the trout - one of our cherished holiday traditions. It would take too long to explain.
This year I turned to my wife and said "Come here and kiss me under the trout".

An interesting tradition. As long as it works for you both.

My sister is to blame, sort of. Several years ago she gave me the 'Mess-O-Trout' for a gag Christmas gift. I always gave her a broken appliance that I had converted into a table lamp, and she always gave me something fish related. There has a been a coffee bean grinder lamp, fish throw pillow, stereo receiver lamp (turn the volume control to dim the lamp), fish Christmas tree ornament, etc. It's been a lot of fun over the years. Which came first, the fish or the lamp? The answer is lost to history.
