Sparing generations
Lens: DFA 150-450 +tc 1.4 hd Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Lancaster Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F8

Mom and youngster perhaps are practicing some moves which repeated . Bald eagles visit here occaisionally but mostly a day or two . For me,a range three hundred meters plus has not worked well but maybe there is hope .

Far away certainly, but they're nice action shots to get

Yes, good to get such shots even if they are far away. For me, photographing animals and birds has a lot to do with understanding behaviours. It may be that they are playing but there is probably an element of teaching in this series - the timing necessary to snatch up a fish, for example.

I hesitated to post this series due to quality issues . Thanks for understanding my wish to share these lesser images . These birds were not there very long .

PJ1 you are quite right about the teaching aspect . Here is a photo of junior returning with a fish!
