Been absent on a 3200Klm+ round trip to Melbourne and back (from Ipswich Queensland), to catch up on family and friends. My friend (of some 59 years!) and his partner are keen gardeners, and he is also a keen photographer (a Nikon, but I forgive him for that).

So he and I did a number of trips together with our respective camera gear to various sites. I took somewhere around 1400-1700 pics, and kept around 970+ (many of which should also be thrown out!!).

Some of the pics I am most pleased with were taken in my friend's own garden, and here is a small sample.

Very nice and what a variety of roses. If he can grow roses like that being forgiven for using a Nikon is kinda okay. Thanks for the pics.

Thank you all for your friendly comments. Yes my friend and his partner seem to have very green thumbs. He is (a long time ago) originally from England, which perhaps explains the amazing variety of roses. But there are many other flowers there as well, plus a small number of very productive fruit trees - all in a relatively small suburban back yard.
