Hotel Grim (Halloween Post)
Posted By: jeffkpotter, 10-22-2008, 04:10 PM

Long post. Big Images. No severe photoshop except for the pano. You couldn't make this one up. These images were taken in a creepy old hotel in Texas. It must have been truly grand in it's day. I thought the graffiti here was odd, but it wasn't until I worked my way up to the roof and saw the sign that it all made sense. I had no idea what the place was named. You should try staying here Halloween night.

Mezzanine

Lobby

Stairwell

Main Staircase (3 piece pano)

Restaurant: Supposedly Bonny and Clyde ate here before they died.

Kitchen: I think there might have been a big fire here. My friend Hector in the picture.

Skylight

Elevator Room (and torture chamber no doubt)

Rooftop Sign

Great series - I really enjoy exploring old historical sites like this - even vicariously through your post.

From what I read here only Bonnie ate there while Clyde cooled his heels outside.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you J.Scott, Interesting information, probably true, but local lore goes further.
Bonnie and Clyde eating a full meal at the decadent Grim Hotel before getting riddled
by bullets in a small Louisiana town the next day has a certain appeal to prurient interests. Ratt-tat-tat!
Thank you forum-rats for supporting and looking at this post!

I like these. You do find some interesting places. The one that really cathes my eye is the 3-piece pano.
