Merry Christmas
Camera: Canon QL19
Posted By: reh321, 12-25-2019, 08:40 AM

Very early in 1975, I took this Kodachrome 25 slide of the residence hall where I lived. At the end of the year, I had professionally-produced Christmas cards made from it.

Now I am at the other end of my career - and I still like it.

Very nice! I can see why you made Christmas cards from it. Merry Christmas!

Thank you for commenting.

Unfortunately, it turns out that as I get older I'm less willing to take photos like this, because it involves standing out in the snow, and all I want to do now is hide until Spring comes.

This is a lovely shot. Sadly, this year is one of the rare years where it's not been a white Christmas here. Bit of a heatwave leading into Christmas week.

Very nice shot! Wish we could get snow like that where we live. I think we've had a white Christmas 4 times in 35 years.

It's about the opposite here, more like not having a white Christmas about 4 or 5 times in the past 38 years.

My wife was hesitant about settling here in Northern Indiana - we get lots of "Lake Effect" whatever - rain, snow, sleet, ..., but this has been au uncommonly warm Winter. My brother, who has lived in the SouthWestern US since his grad school days, has shown me beauty in what I think of as mostly menace.

Thank you for your compliment - I'm guessing I could not take a photo like that in Bloomington {where that was shot}, either ...... the heatwave hit our state before it got to yours.
