I made several trips to this pond during 2006 and 2007.

Image 1. Sunset. I like the way the pattern of the sky mirrors the vegetation in the pond. So I went for a symetrical composition.

Image 2: Another amazing sunset. I spent hours waiting for the light but had low hopes. Storm clouds were gathering but the sun broke through at the last minute. There is rain in the air making the sunset even redder. The dark storm clouds were spectacular and contribute to a mysterious feel.
An angry otter was keeping me company during the shoot. Peeking its head above the water from time to time.

Image 3: The whole pond with alpenglow on the mountains. Somewhat strong affect of the hard, 3-stop, split nd-grad filter I used. try to tweak it in photoshop one day...

All images shot with Pentax 645NII with the FA645 33-55/4.5 zoom lens on Velvia 50.
