Winter drive with my new KP
Lens: Smc PENTAX-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC W Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Matanuska-Susitna, Alaska ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F5

-1 step exposure bias, actual shutter was 1/100s. This is Hatcher Pass, a short drive from home, shortly after a snow fall. We usually lose someone up here ever winter due to avalanche. There are many miles of ski/snowboard trails and snow machine areas. (That’s snow mobile for those in our southern climes.)

Looks rather lovely. Not heard of them referred to as snow machines before. If they get called anything other than a snow mobile, it's usually sleds which can get confusing with the sleds one normally uses for kids (and definitely not adults/parents without the kids) sled riding down hills.

I've heard the sled moniker before. When you hear sled and snow in the same context here most of us think of the sled behind a dog team. Then, that's why I noted the difference. A few thousand miles can make a big difference in language.

That is a really nice shot GRB! It looks frigid, but the blue skies must be welcome this time of the year.

Wonderful photo, the constant "good weather" of Florida is beginning to get a bit boring I'd say.
