Kite Flyer
Posted By: chris sanchez, 12-29-2019, 11:45 AM

Be careful not to look directly at the sun when photographing the the kite flyer, put the camera on a tripod and wait for him to fly by! Hint, A polarizing filter helps cut down the glare.

Not sure if this is entirely true. Nice picture nonetheless.

Unfortunately, the image is underexposed. Regarding polarisers, these have no effect when the sun is directly in front of the camera. Because POLs reduce the amount of light coming in through the lens (1.5 to 2 stops, typically), unless compensation is made, it will contribute to underexposure.

I like the darkening effect of the polarising filter. Makes the whole image a "study in blue". Clever concept. A pleasing image to look at.
