Feet don't fail me now !

Golden eyes need to push off a bit to get airborne . The resulting takeoff can be spectacular.

The racket their feet make gives me time to pan ( sometimes) . Thanks for the kind comment .

Great action shot! It is interesting how the extend their wings forward to that degree when taking off. I guess they need a modified stroke to get off of the water.
