Handmade Ornament
Lens: Pentax '06' Camera: Pentax Q-7 ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/25s Aperture: F2.8

We were married in May 1979. One of of our first "excursions" was to "Conner Prairie" - a living museum close to where we lived at the time - where we bought this [heavy] plaster hand-painted ornament. So, this has been a part of our lives for many years, but as I looked at our tree, I realized that it is the oldest thing on it, and in its own way, very unique.

It is nice to have things like that as a continuing tradition. It certainly looks heavy.

Yes, it is quite heavy - so every year I have to find a limb strong enough to support it and high enough that one of our cats won't swat at it.
