Cranbourne Gardens - New Holland Honeyeater

Nice one. They are a fun bird to try and shoot.... always on the go.

A friend reckons he saw a group of them in a circle around a single bird... they were taking turns to go in and peck it... killed it in the end... no camera on hand though. They do seem quite organised and vocal.

Great composition- the leaves form a wonderful frame around the bird without obscuring too much of it.

The framing is probably more due to trying repeated croppings until I got one that seemed ok, than to the original framing at the time of taking the pic. Opportunity plays a big part there, too,of course
