Nothing beats the stark beauty of Iceland in winter, and the expressive power of long exposures definitely helps in creating a special mood. Vik's Spirit, 323 seconds of exposure with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 45mm and Formatt Hitech Filters Firecrest Ultra filters.

Thank you for viewing, best regards

The long exposure is quite expressive, and the B&W treatment is ideal, and not much different than a color shot would have been (I was there in November, and we had cloudy, rainy, windy = pretty B&W). Love the balance and flow in your image. Thanks.

I shot for the angry waves, with more telephoto, and captured many birds. You sacrificed the birds, but captured incredible flow. Excellent.

It is really a beautiful shot I agree. So calm and creamy.

Beautiful image! The composition is fantastic. I love the expanse of sea and clouds, and the rocks on the right look like they are crumbling down into the water.

Thank you very much Ted, I am glad you enjoyed it! Yes, long lenses are also a good possibility at Vik, depending on conditions and such.
