Lunch is served

I went to the Bolsa Chica wetlands yesterday and came across this Heron looking for lunch. The initial shots of him hunting were a bit busy since he was kind of in the brush and harder to see. Once he caught lunch he moved out from the brush and I was able to get this sequence.

Nicely captured, though I'm sure its aquatic lunch was not positively impressed.

You have actually caught two sagas here - the bird trying to eat, and the fish trying to survive.

I'm not sure and I don't know how to find out. All my searching has not turned up what species of fish are in the wetlands.
