KP does Amsterdam
Lens: DA40mm/f2.8 XS Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Amsterdam

So what does one do with a new camera but on a workday? Just take it along and see what I can capture on my way home from work. Love this body and especially with a pancake on it! The switch from the K-70 is not dramatic although I have the feeling Darktable is able to squeeze just that little bit extra from the raw files.

On top of the roof terrace of my office building, dusk is underway as i look out across the city...

And by the time we get ready to leave the office, darkness has crept over the Rijksmuseum...

Into the subway we go...

And at the Central Station, it is now truly dark. Night has fallen as we look across the Ij (yes, that's its name), the Amsterdam waterfront with on the other side the former Royal Dutch Shell HQ which is now an office tower with top-floor restaurant and lookout deck:

Nice pictures. I bought my first Pentax, (ME Super) in the seventies in Schiphol duty free shop, on my way to Kano Nigeria.

Nice images. The station and river scene are your best of these I think...

I like picture #3 (so huge, so empty), and I truly love #4 (really beautiful night city picture) and #5 (like street photography, but much better). Thanks for sharing those jewels!

Really nice photos and many were shot at relatively high iso. I think I see a KP in my future. Glad you decided to take the camera to work.
