This is an old corner fence post and is tied off to an oak tree to keep it from being pulled over.

Todd,

That image is great... nice textures, the rusty wire, lichens and old wood isolated from the background. Thats a keeper. and oh yes, I do love that lens alot! One of the best Pentax made imo!

A good choice for b&W - could have been taken any time since the various components were all developed.

An interesting composition with a handmade, lichen encrusted wooden fence post like my Grandpa made , complete with a generous helping of sharp barbed wire . Your treatment of this subject brings back some old memories .

Thank you for the great comment Al! It is pretty clear that I love the lens, it seems that most of my photo posts these days are from that lens.

Very nice picture. I always like these kind of B&W and sepia-toned images. To me it just gives off a kind of old elegance.
