Nature Waiting for Spring

A few leaves are still clinging to the sweet gum tree in our front yard, but the one pictured here obviously is a casualty. In a matter of weeks, the tree's life cycle will return to the budding stage - especially if the winter stays as warm as it has thus far. Yesterday my wife and I enjoyed a bike ride at 77F on a sunny day, and I've been driving my convertible with the top down fairly frequently. Suits me; I'd be happy if daily highs never dropped below 75 F.
