We have double crested cormorants but this one is similar yet different .

I am used to seeing them swimming in the water - good work on catching one perching.

Thank you. I noticed the bokeh too while posting. While the area is mostly open water, there are areas where wooded land juts into the water.

We have double crested cormorants but this one is similar yet different .

I think this is a Little Comorant.

I am used to seeing them swimming in the water - good work on catching one perching.

They swim, they chase snakes & fish for food, they perch on posts, fallen trees, branches, landings around here. Thank you.
