The Roof of the World at Dawn
Lens: D-FA 24-70 Camera: K-1 Mark II Photo Location: Nepal
Posted By: Dan Paris, 01-30-2020, 02:02 PM

Hi,

Stitched from two pictures at 24mm, shot around 5,900m high on a glacier in the Himalayas at dawn. The big mountain on the left is Dhaulagiri II (7,751m)

(one can see some anticrepuscular rays at the horizon)

regards,

Dan

At 5900m it's not gonna be clever to ask you to try moving a little right and up? Just kidding, and you're fortunate to get there for such sights; the altitude would leave most of us breathlessly unfit for photography! Great light and colours, Dan; print it!

Nice shot. I noticed the rays before I read your post - and then I had to Google it to satisfy my curiosity.

Congrats to your stamina to bring the K-1 and 24-70mm - with an absolutely breathtaking result. Is it from the same trip as the Dolpo picture?

I did move up to the top but the sun woke up faster than I climbed
