New body, new lens!
Posted By: heatherslightbox, 10-25-2008, 01:40 PM

I've just gotten my new (to me) K20D and DA16-45 lens, so I had to go out and try the combo out. Other than the cropped image and RAW converson and some minor PP in Irfanview, the pictures are otherwise straight out of the camera.

The significantly cropped image--man, how I wished for my 55-300 on this one!

My backyard...

My house...

Outside display at a local antiques shop...

Plants for sale outside the antiques shop...

I'm looking forward to getting to know both body and lens well.

I think you'll find the K20D and DA 16-45 to be an excellent combination.

Hey Heather..??? what happened to your LBA challenge?

Mind you I am glad you have relented, because if you remember I warned about the dire consequences the LBA ban would bring to sectors of the economy....you know, factories closing, children going hungry etc etc.

Well it looks as though I underestimated the impact of LBA.

If you take note of when you started your LBA Challenge and the share market along with the world economy in general.....you will see a frightening correlation.

Since your challenge has been going, Heather, banks have gone bankrupt, the share market has crashed like never before, hell!....even a country went broke (didn't know they made lenses in Iceland....but the ramifications ARE far reaching )

So now your challenge is over ( it is over isn't it Heather..? Heather???) the world economy will start to recover.

Such is the power of LBA. Never ever try and suppress or subdue it, just bask in its warm glow and all will be well on planet earth....

Enjoy the camera, and the lens...( and all the other ones you have to buy now to make up for lost time).
Cheers

I've just read what Grant said Heather and it hadn't occurred to me before but now it makes sense.
You're a bad girl, how did you ever get the power and means to cause such chaos?
Can't you aim your resources at C&N and knock them down a little bit?

I agree Ed! The 16-45 and K20D are one of the best combinations.

My 16-45 was on the camera most of the time! You cannot beat it: lightweight, sharp, and an excellent medium zoom range! Sure it is a stop less than the legendary 16-50, but you don't have the weight or the alignment issue.

Congrats Heather! You will love both of these gems!

Congrats on the new outfit Heather, I don't have the K20D but the 16-45 is one sweet lens on both my K100D and K10D.

I want a new body! Oh. Wait. We're talking about cameras aren't we. Well I'd love a K20D as well.

Congrats Heather and I look forward to seeing more!

Nice photos, Heather! So did you sold your K10D and 12-24 to finance these buys, as you planned?
