Thanks TT. I think I got really lucky to capture a BIF at 1/160 sec. and have anything in sharp focus.

You are welcome. I do have that same lens and it is one Sharp, S.O.Gun. Again, nice work.

Maybe the best $32 I ever spent. Mine came in mint condition.

My daughter says I look like a creepy old guy spying on my neighbors with my camera and telephoto lens.

Thank you Bengan.

Actually it was pure dumb luck, but thank you. I was surprised that some bluebirds stayed through the winter this year, but we've had a very mild winter. I never get tired of seeing them.

Nice shot. Regarding luck, only way to win a lottery is to play. Luck or not, pays the same.

Thanks Photogoof, much appreciated. Unfortunately, that lens has now developed some fog. I'm not sure if I want to try to clean it myself. The lens only cost $32, so it's not worth sending in for professional cleaning. I have since bought a used DA*60-250mm from a PF member, which is way better than the Tokina, but much bigger and heavier.

Beautiful image; looks like 1/160th was a sweet spot for capturing just the right amount of motion blur in the wing tips and the tips of the tail feathers.
