Here we are along the Ottawa River on a drab, misty afternoon. Someone has crafted these statues as an amusing distraction in the middle of winter.
Edit. In my original post, I had used the word "inukshuk". However, an inukshuk is a type of handmade stone landmark having special meaning to the Inuit peoples of the Arctic region. The term is often used incorrectly to refer to any balanced rock creation. Here's a reference to inukshuk (or inuksuk):
