Walking back
Lens: HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED WR Camera: PENTAX K-3 Photo Location: Barn ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F5.8

to the house from the barn this rather large Hawk flew right over my head and landed in a tree. Ran to get my camera and managed to get a few shots before it got too dark.

YEP.. that is a rather large hawk! Looks like it was checking out your barn for an order of chicken to go!

Nice capture for an expected photo op!

Thanks for the comment, no chickens but the song birds flew the coop for sure.

What a surprise ! But you were ready quickly enough to get the photo . Way to go !
