A new pentaxian
Lens: Samyang 16 F2 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Rivington Qc ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F2

The fellow on the left is a Canon shooter who decided to invest in a Pentax astro kit: K-30 (180$), O-GPS1 (200$), FA50/1.4 (100$) and Samyang 14/2.8 (250$). So for 730$ he's all set! He invited me to show him how everything works.

Pentax K-5, Samyang 16mm f/2.0, 60 s iso 400 for the stars with astrotracer, 40 s iso 400 for the foreground

I hope that fellow's K-30 doesn't get hit with aperture block; it might sour him on Pentax. If it does you'll just have to convince him he should have bought a K-5 like yours!

I told him about that and that he should stick with lenses that have an aperture ring. this way, when the aperture block fails he'll just have to switch to manual aperture control.

Thanks! The one in the middle is actually Procyon. I forgot to mention that I had a Tiffen double fog 3 filter in front of the lens. That makes Procyon shine very brightly.
