Also known as “The Golden Temple”.
Truely a beautiful place. I was there a few years ago but the light was poor so no good photos, unfortunately.

The name means - "Kin" (gold) "kaku" (building, paviliion) "ji" (temple). So it's the Temple of the Golden Pavilion. The temple is the whole complex of buildings, not simply the famous gold-coated one (which sadly is a replica of the original which was burned down). I swear there's a rock missing from this photo, but anyway it's a nice shot!
