Wild Rose
Lens: Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 Camera: KP Photo Location: side yard ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/750s Aperture: F11

Actually, I don't know if this is a rose or not, I just had to call it something. It grows wild in our yard.

Whatever it is, it has beautiful texture and veining. I really like the surrounding greenery.

I have to admit I pumped up the green channel a little in PP. Like you, I think it enhanced the image.

I also like this photograph.

As per ToddK's comment, the texture and veining has been nicely captured, with plenty of depth of field to bring it out. Even the little motes of pollen scattered over the petals are nice and sharp
