Window detail, restored 17th century French architecture building. Lens: DA 55-300 mm HD Camera: Pentax K20d Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F11 04-01-2020, 07:38 AM
This old historical French building was restored 2 years ago. They found artesan carpenters capable of replicating ancient ways of building structures, stone walls, roofs, doors, windows and the like. The picture was taken @ 190 mm FL and f/11. This DA 55-300 mm HD produces impressive images on medium resolution sensors. Unfortunately, I noticed there was something sort of growing on the front of the zoom variator. Buying second-hand items on eBay sometimes brings some surprises. I exposed the lens to bright sunlight all afternoon yesterday and the little spot disappeared, thank God. I'll keep an eye on this and if it is mold, I will have it professionally cleaned.
