Near floodstage caused by snowmelt.
Lens: DA 55-300 mm HD Camera: Pentax K20d Photo Location: Quebec, CANADA ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F16

Spring is here and snow is melting rapidly, creating peak discharge and near floodstage in our watercourses. I was a hydraulics engineer all my life and I still check these phenomenons though I'm now retired. Picture taken @ 107.5 mm FL and f/16, handheld. I had not used this K20 body for a few years, I recharged my LI50 batteries and now it's back to life. The results amaze me every time and this new (used lens but newly acquired) zoom really shines with this low-resolution sensor.

Beautiful shot! A 14.6 megapixel sensor, the lens and the man behind did a good job. :-)

Very nice image. I can hear the sound of the rushing water. Wish I'd been there.

This little stream has a short rectilinear stretch tucked between two 90 degree curves, this vantage point is indeed one of the best to capture the view. Thanks, Todd !
