Nature Stuck on a Rock

This sheep appeared to be stranded on a rock ledge about 30 feet or so above the ocean. Somehow it worked its way down a very high rock face and couldn't figure out how to get back up. The second image shows what the mountain looks like from a distance.

Interesting photo. A domestic sheep appears to have retained some of it's wild forebears of many generations back surefootedness. Do you know if it eventually figured how to get back with the rest of the flock ?

I wasn't around long enough to find out, but the capitan from the boat we were on thought that it would eventually figure out how to get back up. The other option was to jump in and swim, but I am not sure that sheep can swim...
