That's for sure. My favorite album of any genre is Kind of Blue. Freddie Freeloader is on that album, but the deceptively simple "So What" is a true gem. Miles was a genius, successfully navigating jazz from bebop to fusion over decades as he developed cats like Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams, Wayne Shorter . . . . . . . . . . . .

Hey thanks, Todd. The lyrics are from a pop tune called "How Long?" recorded by an outfit called Ace - in the mid '70s. Hardly in the same league as Miles, but I like the tune's chords, which are blessedly simple but a bit unusual and a fun (and easy!!) template for improvisation.

I've added a link to a version of the tune made in 2014 in which Paul Carrack (the song's author) is joined by Clapton.
