Great Egret
Lens: HD DA55-300 f4.5-6.3 PLM Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Nearby Wetland ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/1000s Aperture: F6.3

This bird was busy preening, and it took me a few minutes of trying to distract him to get him to finally look up so I could get a photo

Good one, Todd.

There are a lot of egrets around town now - all over the place, but not where you'd want to photograph them. They seem to like empty lots in new subdivisions!

Thanks Jer. I imagine that you must have a lot of frogs and other small critters on the empty lots that attract them.

OMG!! What a brilliant image. Many thanks for sharing. Having that marsh in the background is definitely a shot in the arm. )

Thanks Tony! It is a great spot for seeing ducks, egrets and herons in the winter and spring. However, in a few weeks it will be dried up.
