Nice one Jer! As I just said to KD on his owl(?) photo, the lockdown is definitely starting to show its effects

Hey, Todd, thanks much. I had a lot of fun doing this one.

Well . . . . what about the Dormouse? I must confess I remember very little about "Alice". Even when I was young, I preferred hard-edged, science-based adventures such as "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet", "Space Patrol" and "Flash Gordon".

Great photo and thanks for bringing back happy memories from before I became ill and I used to play White Rabbit with the band I was in at the time.

If you listen to the song (YouTube link above), it ends :

'Remember what the Dormouse said

Feed Your Head
Feed Your Head.'

This record was originally banned by the BBC, because they thought they could detect drug references in it. Fancy that.

Thank you, and I'm glad the pic gave you a good memory. I gigged back in the day - '64 through about '72 - while I was in college and grad school, and I have lots of fun memories of those days.

Geez, I never remember lyrics. At least I do remember - dimly - some controversy the recording stirred up in the States in the late '60s, but that was true of a lot of pop and rock music of the time.

Absolutely! The record was released when I was in high school, and one of my friends owned a tape recorder - a rare and magical possession in those days. He recorded the tune from the 45 RPM record and then played it back at various speeds to try to discern the supposedly obscene lyrics. We came up with some pretty spicy "translations", all of which - I'm sure - emerged from our adolescent imaginations rather than the record itself.

Naturally, persons with no experience in the realm of hallucinogenics would fail to recognize the references, which I thought were plainly in the overt text. By the way, I chose the red pill (red for "danger", I reckon. "He who is near me, is near the fire, and he who is far from me is far from the Transdimensional Realm.")
